Mat 16:3
And in the morning, It will be foul weather to day: for the sky is red and lowring. O ye hypocrites, ye can discern the face of the sky; but can ye not discern the signs of the times?
The greatest favour God gave us, was to give us the opportunity to know the signs of the end times. Sadly Christians who love the world do not want to hear anything about these things. Nonetheless, those who seek a better country like Abraham did, pay attention to what the bible says.
If the news these days do not send any spiritual signal to you, then please check your spiritual antenna to be sure you are picking the right signals, because the signs are more than enough to drive home the message of the times. To continue to live as though there is nothing at stake is one of the biggest mistakes we can make. To do that means you would be caught unprepared should Christ come or death comes.
As for the thought that once you call yourself a Christian you are going to heaven the least talked about the better, because if it were so, then all the warnings in the New Testament would not be necessary. We must be very mindful of the days we find ourselves. As we go about our normal duties, we must be careful to live holy lives. We must seek to be right with God all the time, no room for complacency and compromise at all. May we not ignore the many signs out there, and may we not be like the foolish virgins.
May this Saturday be a wonderful one as we draw closer to God in our walk with Him.
